Psyche Presentation in Belgium

A visit with your boy...

Dear Dixie, It was good to see him just 2 days ago...he and I had a long and quiet conversation. He seemed well, content, and so very beautiful. I did well up a little when I saw him...just very moving to be next to such greatness. I don't think I'd ever been with him just one-on-one, and I felt privileged to experience his sweetness, his soulfulness. So of course I thought of you and how many moments like that you must have shared with him.

With a hug,
Denise

I just wanted to tell you about this colt by Sir Fames. I ponied him for the first time today out on the trail, I have been ponying him in the arena and he has been doing well, so I decided to take him out in the hills. what a trooper he is! He crossed over little logs, a small creek, a ravine and went along like he had been doing it for years. He has the best temperament, he is a thinking horse and you can see his little wheels turning, didn't spook once and even when cars went by he didn't make a wrong step. he just has a solid and sound temperament, what a pleasure to work with a horse like him! I have liked Sir Fames since I first saw him, but this colt and the filly we had before, both seal it for me. here are a few pics from our adventure this morning.

"Where Dreams Come to Life"
2009 Open House

Story By Beth Hunziker

I have a collection of Arabian horse magazines and books that span more than 25 years; they fill almost a whole room. People ask me why I keep all these magazines and books. The answer is simple – they are my treasure – one of my most valued possessions. The wonderful thing about an Arabian horse magazine, or a book, is that as you hold it in your hands and read the stories, you can find yourself in another place and time, another country, another culture and yet you are always among friends – friends of the Arabian horse.

For years I have looked through the magazines and I often dreamed of visiting the marvelous places, of meeting the amazing people and especially seeing the fantastic Arabian horses that appear within the pages. What I wouldn’t give to see their shining coats, their flagged tails, their flowing manes, to watch as they prance in place with excitement, gallop with wild abandon and stop to be petted or to enjoy a carrot and then finally to look into their lovely dark eyes… that would be a dream come true.

Thanks for the nice words. You breed world class halter horses at your farm, and I thought you'd enjoy seeing that they can also go on to be riding horses, family pets, and (in probably eventually performance show horses too! Mirage was sweet but silly at 2, but at 3 he is very sensible, easy to train, willing, and as you can clearly see, KIND. At the LAEC and now in Huntington Beach (we moved in August) Mirage has been an ambassador for the breed. He is friends with everyone and has changed MANY people's minds about Arabs. Everyone asks "Where did you get this horse?" and of course I am always happy to share that he was bred by North Arabians. He is huge, 15.1+ and still growing fast. He is so bonded to me it's almost frightening. Gerard tried to talk me into selling him last year, I am glad I didn't go for it! I hope to show him at Whittier again this year. He has matured and dried out, filled out, and is really spectacular...a far cry from the pretty but lanky baby he used to be. I am so pleased to have bought him from North Arabians, I have had nothing but good experiences with you folks. Mirage is a dream horse, wait til you see him next! Hopefully one of these days...Scottsdale :) If only I could buy his little brother, he is lovely too.

Take good care,
Jenny McCann
